There were severe delays in both directions on the M6 after separate crashes in the same area.
Emergency services first attended a car that had flipped on the M6 southbound between junction 27 and 26 at around 6.30am on Monday morning (3 November).
One lane is closed on the southbound carriageway and delays of around 30 minutes are being reported.

On the northbound carriageway, a separate incident took place at around 7.20am.
