Exactly When New Episodes Of ‘Maxton Hall’ Season Two Come Out In Australia

THE RUNDOWN

  • Maxton Hall season two will premiere on Prime Video on November 7, 2025.
  • The first three episodes will release on November 7, with the rest coming out weekly, each Friday.
  • There are six episodes in season two of Maxton Hall.

Though it’s only been 18 months since we had our last Maxton Hall fix, it feels like far longer. The German-language book-turned-TV-series first hit our screens in May 2024, and finally, the second season of the hit show is back for round two.

The series follows Ruby Bell (played by Harriet Herbig-Matten) and James Beaufort (played by Damian Hardung), and takes place inside a prestigious private school, playing on classic tropes like enemies-to-lovers. James is the golden boy at school and Ruby is a scholarship student who accidentally stumbles across a secret in the very first episode. What ensues is exactly what you’re imagining: some threatening behaviour from James and sassy comebacks from Ruby.

At the end of season one (spoiler coming), the pair’s future is somewhat up in the air. James and Ruby had reconciled, but then he learns of his mother’s death and has a huge (and physical) fight with his dad, which forces him to leave his house and seek comfort with Ruby. But when he arrives at her home, he sees how happy she is with her family, so he walks away alone so he doesn’t burden her with his devastation.

Though the show hits on a very successful romance formula, the fact that it’s a German-language show means that the cast wasn’t sure how it would perform when it was released. Adding the fact that the show took two years to make its way onto screens once filming wrapped, and needless to say, it’s wild popularity caught the cast and even Prime Video somewhat off guard.

“It’s just amazing to see something we loved so much doing, but always thought, ‘Who’s going to watch that show outside of Germany?’ resonates very well with females all around the world, and apparently their boyfriends also don’t mind watching too,” Petra Hengge, Head of Scripted TV at Amazon MGM Studios, said on 2024. “I want to have people laugh, I want to have people cry, I want to help people feel better, and to sleep well afterwards.”

Thankfully, though we waited a long time for the first season of Maxton Hall to be released, that hasn’t been the case for season two. Prime Video, which is also responsible for the hit adaptation of The Summer I Turned Pretty, released a first-look photo just six months after it dropped, in late 2024, and we’ve been excited to see the season ever since.

What Is The Plot Of Maxton Hall Season 2?

When the trailer for season two dropped in early October, fans were immediately alarmed. Though the end of season one saw a seemingly reformed James realise his true feelings for Ruby (and start to treat her as such), the trailer hinted to him being back to his cad ways. In the trailer, he is seen kissing a girl named Elaine passionately in the pool during a party, and of course, Ruby sees it all go down.

As expected, drama ensues and thus, the second season’s plot becomes quite clear. Fans aren’t too thrilled about a potential love triangle between the three characters, but apparently the cheating is consistent with the plot of the book the season is based on, Save You by Mona Kasten.

Another plot hint came from the author herself, who shared the season two poster on her Instagram in October, with the caption: “You tore my fucking heart out. And I hate you for it. But I love you too, and that makes this so much harder.”

Will There Be A Season 3 Of Maxton Hall?

It’s likely that there will be a season three of Maxton Hall, as there are three books in the trilogy series by Mona Kasten. In order, the series consists of: Save Me, Save You, and Save Us (we can see where this is going).
