Telangana govt is actively considering setting up world-class film city, says deputy chief minister Bhatt

Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday said the Congress govt is actively considering to set up a world-class film city.Addressing a gathering of film industry representatives and film workers’ union leaders at Telugu Club in Jubilee Hills, as part of the bypoll campaign, along with cinematography minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Bhatti said, “Whatever real benefits the film industry received — whether in united AP or in present-day Telangana — it was done by the Congress governments. Thousands of film workers’ lives were improved and the film industry was brought from Chennai to Hyderabad because the government allotted land for the construction of film studios. Annapurna, Padmalaya, Ramanaidu and many other studios were all set up during Congress govt terms in the past,” he said.
