Big Brother viewers were left feeling annoyed after a savage eviction twist, demanding a major shake-up.
The Big Brother house witnessed a backdoor eviction tonight (November 5) in a massive twist. Last night, it emerged that one housemate would be kicked out immediately in a ruthless blow.
As the housemates nominated once again, Nancy and Sam received the most votes, putting them up for the public vote. However, viewers were given just 15 minutes to rescue their preferred housemate before the chosen contestant would depart the house immediately.
Despite exiting the programme on Tuesday, fans wouldn’t discover who had left until tonight’s episode. Big Brother assembled the housemates in the garden for the conclusion of Fireworks Night, reports OK!.

Big Brother announced: “Housemates, it’s nearly time for Big Brother’s Firework Display. But, before we light the fuse, Big Brother has some news. Tonight is not just fireworks night, it’s also eviction night.”
Sam responded, “Finally, some drama, do you know what I mean?”
Forced to dress as rockets, red for Sam and blue for Nancy, Big Brother declared, “Sam and Nancy, tonight one of you is about to go out with a bang.
“…But, who will it be? If the display matches the colour of your rocket, your time in the Big Brother House will go up in smoke, and you will be evicted. Sam and Nancy, are you ready? Hit the button in 3… 2… 1… Launch.”
Caroline labelled the eviction as “cruel”, and red fireworks lit up the sky as it was announced that Sam would be making a backdoor exit.
However, viewers were less than impressed, with one fan commenting on X: “Why do the twists this year feel so lacklustre. They’re so poorly executed.”

Another disgruntled viewer posted: “I waited for 24 hours for that? They could’ve done that last night live puny a** display.”
A third commented, “This is how to do a backdoor eviction. Don’t tell them before it happens, do it out of nowhere, and do it to a live crowd.”
A fourth remarked: “Well, that was a c**p back door eviction.”
Another responded: “Kerry’s backdoor eviction was better than this.”
One person echoed: “Most underwhelming, boring, anti-climactic eviction ever.”
Some fans expressed they would have preferred the housemates to remain oblivious to the eviction until after the housemate had departed; however, instead, the housemates were told of the eviction on the night.
With Sam now gone, speculation is rife among viewers about what will transpire during this Friday’s eviction, with whispers of another double eviction.
Big Brother airs Sunday to Friday on ITV2 and ITVX on 9pm.
