Brent Burns posted one assist in an Avalanche’ 9-1 win over the Oilers Saturday night.

Burns has fought consistency issues in the offensive zone of late, picking up points in just three of his last nine games (one goal, two assists) for the Avalanche. The veteran defenseman continues to flash reliable offensive ability from the blueline at times to begin the season, recording seven points (one goal, six assists) to this point.
