Ex-BBC Radio 1 and former Capital Xtra DJ Tim Westwood has appeared in court for his first hearing since being charged with four counts of rape last month.
The 68-year-old has also been charged with nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault. Three of the accounts of indecent assault are alleged to have taken place BBC studios in the 1990s.
The charges related to seven women, some as young as 17 years old, with the allegations spanning from 1983 to 2016.
Mr Westwood was granted bail at a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday. He has not yet been asked to enter a plea, but he has previously denied claims of misconduct.
