The White House lowered their flags in honor of Vice President Dick Cheney who died at age 84.
Flags across Wisconsin will fly at half-staff in remembrance of former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, who died Nov. 3 at 84, according to Wisconsin’s Department of Military Affairs.
Cheney, who served as vice president under former President George W. Bush, died from complications of pneumonia, cardiac and vascular disease, according to a statement from his family. He is viewed as one of the most powerful and controversial vice presidents in U.S. history.
President Donald Trump has yet to issue an official proclamation or comment publicly on Cheney’s death, but flags were lowered at the White House beginning Nov. 4, USA TODAY reported.

American flags are ordered to fly at half-staff until sunset on the day of Cheney’s interment services, according to the state Department of Military Affairs. The date has not yet been released.
