Meghan’s Netflix return is causing a clash
The Duchess of Sussex has revealed when her Christmas special of Netflix series With Love, Meghan will drop on the streaming service. The programme, which features Meghan sharing hosting advice whilst preparing meals alongside famous pals, faced harsh criticism from reviewers after its March debut.
A follow-up series launched in August, and the former Suits star, 44, has now confirmed her yuletide episode will land on the platform on December 3.
This timing clashes with the King’s scheduled state visit from Germany’s president, running from December 3-5.

The duchess broke the news via her Instagram page, offering a glimpse of her festive dining setup complete with candles, glassware, ribbons and foliage.
Netflix’s description reveals that Meghan “shares her favourite holiday traditions, seasonal crafts and family recipes with friends old and new” in the festive episode.
Celebrity participants in the second series of With Love, Meghan included Queer Eye favourite Tan France, American model and presenter Chrissy Teigen, and podcast host Jay Shetty.
The programme’s March launch aligned with the debut of Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard brand, which offers items such as raspberry jam and flower sprinkles that she frequently showcases throughout the series.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex struck a profitable deal with Netflix, reportedly exceeding 100 million dollars (£74 million), in 2020 following their departure from senior Royal duties. In August, Harry and Meghan revealed they had inked a new “multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects” with the streaming giant.
Meghan characterised the agreement as “an incredible sign of the strength of our partnership”, despite speculation that the streaming behemoth might be shifting its focus away from her and Harry.
Last month, while addressing the Fortune Most Powerful Women summit in Washington DC, Meghan drew parallels between her Netflix collaboration and the Obamas’ own arrangement with their production company Higher Ground. She noted that the new contract provided her and Harry with “flexibility” and the opportunity to “shop content that might not be the right fit for Netflix”.
When questioned about whether With Love, Meghan would return for a third series, the Duchess remained non-committal.
