Housing Minister James Browne has been accused of “fleeing the country” and “running scared” instead of defending the Government’s new plan to tackle the growing crisis.

Mr Browne is attending a housing conference instead of touring the studios at home to sell his new policies, with Sinn Féin’s housing spokesperson Eoin Ó Broin complaining: “You couldn’t make it up.”
