Rep. Burchett Votes to End the Democrat Shutdown

Washington, D.C. (November 12th, 2025) — Today, U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett voted in favor of a funding package to reopen the federal government. After 42 days of Senate Democrats holding the government and the American people hostage, the House has passed a bill to fully reopen the federal government. The resolution includes no additional spending, maintaining current federal funding levels and extending funding through January 30th, 2026. It also includes three of the twelve appropriations bills for fiscal year 2026.

“This is a win for all Americans, including the most vulnerable among us who rely on federal safety net programs, as well as federal workers who protect our borders and ensure safe air travel,” said Rep. Burchett. “After 42 days, we have finally reached the end of the Democrat-led shutdown, and I hope we can now work together to pass the remaining appropriations bills in a timely manner that reduces the deficit.”
