Electric Picnic headliners announce major 2026 Limerick show

LIMERICK is gearing up for a major open-air music moment at Thomond Park Stadium next summer.

On 1 July 2026, Kings of Leon will take to the stage for a massive outdoor show at the iconic venue.

Recognised as one of global alternative rock’s biggest forces over the past two decades, the band’s extensive touring legacy includes headlining Coachella, Glastonbury, and Reading & Leeds.

Since their 2003 debut, the band has released nine albums, from Youth & Young Manhood through to 2024’s Can We Please Have Fun, selling over 20 million albums and nearly 40 million singles worldwide. Their accolades include three Grammy wins, eight nominations, three NME Awards, two Brit Awards, and one Juno Award.

Tickets go on sale next Friday, November 21 via Ticketmaster.ie with an MCD Presale opening Wednesday, November 19 at 9am.

The announcement follows a fresh four-track EP release, alongside recent collaborations including a “Live in Jersey” single with Zach Bryan and Bruce Springsteen (covering “Atlantic City”) and additional new songs with Bryan.
