Steven made a confession
Married at First Sight UK audiences were left gobsmacked when Steven finally confessed to using a dating app.
Steven was matched with Nelly on the E4 programme, which sees complete strangers getting married immediately after meeting at the altar for the first time. Their relationship ultimately failed and there was controversy surrounding whether Steven had a profile on a dating app. He repeatedly denied it, despite widespread suspicions, reports OK!
However, during the reunion episode broadcast on Friday (November 14) he eventually came clean. “I put my hands up to it,” he said.
Nelly had questioned Steven: “My question is, are you finally going to admit the dating app thing?”

He responded: “I’ve acted cowardly. It’s not nice knowing, actually knowing, how I made you feel.”
“I put my hands up to it,” he admitted.
MAFS expert Mel Schilling appeared stunned, challenging him: “Despite everything you said that time on the couch, you actually lied, you did have a profile on a dating app.”
“Yeah,” he confirmed. “I have owned up to it now tonight.”
Steven apologised to Nelly
Steven subsequently apologised to Nelly, describing it as a “massive regret” of his. “I hate the fact that I have done this to you,” he added.
Nevertheless, Nelly disclosed she was focused on moving forward, informing the experts: “I have never felt more confident or more strong.”
She stated that there wasn’t anything specific she wished to say to Steven, but that she hoped he learnt something from the experience.
Viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the shocking revelation.
“We all knew Steven was lying about the app,” one viewer commented, while another posted: “Well knock me down with a feather, Steven *was* on the dating apps?”

“Steven finally admits to having a dating profile on Hinge…” another viewer noted, as one posted: “What?”
“That’s embarrassing,” remarked another viewer, while someone else said: “I thought he was gonna deny that for eternity.” “Oh dude wth?” asked another.
Another person observed: “It was obvious he was guilty. He isn’t the first to do this with a dating app and won’t be the last.”
