Cooper Flagg Stats Tonight: How did Mavericks Rookie Perform in NBA Cup Game Against Clippers? (Nov. 14)

Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks hosted the LA Clippers in a big-ticket NBA Cup game at the American Airlines Center on Friday. Anthony Davis remained sidelined for Dallas, with Flagg leading a new-look starting lineup on the court. The former Duke phenom was joined in the starting lineup by Naji Marshall, Daniel Gafford, Max Christie and Brandon Williams.

Flagg made a strong offensive start and knocked down his first two shots. The 6-foot-9 forward then bricked his next two field goal attempts, including a 3-pointer, as the Mavericks fell into a 10-point hole with over four minutes remaining in the period.

The versatile forward struggled to get going in the second quarter and missed two more shots. Amid his offensive woes, his playmaking was below average while he displayed his trademark defensive hustle.

At halftime, Cooper Flagg had four points on 2-of-6 shooting, including 0-of-1 from 3-point range. He also recorded two rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes.

Flagg remained quiet in the third quarter and attempted just two shots in the period. He made one from inside the arc, while his struggles from beyond the arc continued.

The Mavericks rookie was fantastic in the fourth quarter and first overtime. He didn’t miss a single shot, making two each in the final period and the first overtime.
