Strictly Come Dancing pro Carlos Gu was left in floods of tears after hearing the judge’s comments as he stuck up for his celebrity partner Karen Carner.
The duo were scored 31 points by the judges after dancing to You Don’t Own Me by Saygrace featuring G-Eazy.
Anton Du Beke said: “It was a little brittle this dance…I want this beautiful, breathy, flowy, lyrical motion. It’s got to be fluid.”
Craig Revel Horwood agreed: “It was a little spiky…you need a lot more expression in your arms and hand…you need to soften everything out.”

As head judge Shirley Ballas gave her critique, Carlos was overcome with emotion as she recogised the hard work Karen has been putting in.
The Birmingham born footballer has a back condition called Scheuermann’s disease, a skeletal disorder that results in a curved spine and makes it difficult for her to perform certain postures due to a lack of mobility and stiffness in her back.
Shirley acknowledged: “From week one to now, your posture has come a long way…I see your hard work. What they are saying is it has got to be more consistent.”
Carlos was in floods of tears as he told host Claudia Winkleman: “She worked so hard this week. I know ballroom is not her strength but she came into training room and she said ‘I really want to try hard. I know my back has a problem but I really want to try and I really want to show that I’m imprioving just a little bit.
“And just hearing them say that…you have no idea how hard she’s been working this week.”
Viewers were emotional watching Carlos speak up for Karen, and took to X to comment. One wrote: “Carlos crying has melted my heart #Strictly.”
“Carlos crying because of karen STOP IT im crying with him #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing,” a second said, while a third added: “I can’t deal with karen and carlos crying #Strictly.”
