Maple Leafs’ Brandon Carlo out day-to-day with lower-body injury

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be down another body as they visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.
The 28-year-old blueliner played 19:44 in Toronto’s loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, and it is unclear when the injury may have occurred.
Defenceman Philippe Myers will draw into the Maple Leafs’ lineup against Chicago in Carlo’s place.
Carlo has recorded two assists in 18 games for Toronto this season while averaging just over 20 minutes of ice time per contest.
The Maple Leafs acquired the right-shot D-man from the Boston Bruins at last year’s trade deadline for a package headlined by Fraser Minten.
Earlier Saturday, Toronto claimed defenceman Troy Stecher off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers, but he won’t be an option to dress in Chicago.
You can watch as the Maple Leafs try to snap their four-game skid on Hockey Night in Canada. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT and will be available on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
