Dani Olmo says there’s one Liverpool player he wishes he could play with

Dani Olmo has claimed that there’s one Liverpool player he’d want to play with.
Liverpool have been in strange form this season, with their start to the 2025-26 season being impeccable.
Since then, things have been a bit like a rollercoaster with the club losing six out of seven games in October.

However, Liverpool’s performance against Real Madrid on Tuesday was arguably one of their best of the season, with each player knowing exactly what they had to do.

And now, Barcelona ace Olmo has shared which Liverpool player he’d want to play alongside if he were able to.
Dani Olmo wishes that Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai was Spanish
One of the Reds’ best players this season has been Dominik Szoboszlai.
No matter where Slot has used him on the pitch, the midfielder has always put in a more than impressive performance, with his goal contributions one of the best things about his game.
His defensive contributions have also helped take some pressure off Liverpool’s back four, which has helped them become more stable.
And now, when asked by Adri Contreras which player he wishes was Spanish, Olmo simply replied: “Szoboszlai.”
Liverpool would be far worse off without Dominik Szoboszlai among their ranks
As mentioned, Szoboszlai has quickly become one of Liverpool’s best players this season.
The midfielder has been key to the points that the Reds have earned with his recent performances, even earning him Liverpool’s player of the month award for September.
The Hungarian has been used at right-back multiple times this season, and even though he’s played rather well at full-back, it’s clear that he’s far too talented not to be used in the middle of the park.
His constant running, coupled with his keen eye for a pass and the goal, are just two things that make him a key cog for the Anfield outfit.

Some fans have even started to suggest that he deserves a new contract and that he could end up being the Reds’ captain in the future.
Here’s hoping that things stay as they are and Szoboszlai continues improving and showing why he could now be more important than Salah.
