Exclusive | Jets cornerback Kris Boyd in critical condition after NYC shooting

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot and critically wounded in Midtown early Sunday morning and is now clinging to life at Bellevue Hospital, police and sources said.
The shooting took place on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue shortly after 2 a.m., according to police, who did not identify Boyd as the victim.

However, sources said it was the 29-year-old NFL cornerback.
Boyd was shot in the abdomen outside Sei Less restaurant after a dispute turned violent, with the gunmen firing two shots, law enforcement sources told The Post.
The sources said the shooter fled the scene in a BMW X8 SUV — but witnesses were uncooperative with cops.
Boyd lapsed in and out of consciousness before he was rushed to the hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
Cops said there have been no arrests and the shooting is under investigation.

Boyd, a 5-11 defensive back for Gang Green joined the team this year after coming up with the Minnesota Vikings before the 2019 season. He has also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and the Houston Texans.

Boyd is currently listed on the injured reserve for the Jets.
The Jets are not on the field today after losing to the New England Patriots on Thursday night.
A spokesperson for the Jets did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Post on Sunday.
