Madeleine McCann suspect’s camp guarded by women with chilling four-word message

A woman protecting Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner gave a four-word reply when questioned about the convicted sex offender. The repugnant Bruckner, 49, is being shielded in his makeshift woodland camp by two women, who label themselves as his “helpers,” along with a pit bull terrier.

After facing backlash from locals outraged at his prison release, he relocated with his small tent to woods in northern Germany. He’s now aiming to leave Germany for a fresh start and even had the audacity to launch a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe before the site removed it just hours after its inception.

There are concerns among officers that they may lose track of him as the ankle tag he wears would not alert them if he crossed the border.

Now, Brueckner is being protected by two women – identified locally as Mandy and Monda – who seem to guard his campsite with the aggressive dog. When queried about their presence, they responded with the four chilling words: “We are his helpers.”

Beer cans were noticed scattered around his campsite which was adorned with fairy lights hanging from the trees and a screen made from sticks and leaves. Strangely, a new bike was also spotted at the location, reports the Mirror.

Brueckner’s legal team have reportedly instructed him to remain silent when approached by journalists. He remains the chief suspect in the vanishing of three year old Maddie who disappeared without trace from a holiday flat in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007 whilst the German was in the vicinity.

The predator was convicted of raping a 72 year old woman in the area and had been imprisoned. He was freed in September but remains under electronic monitoring.

Prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters told The Sun it would prove challenging to monitor Brueckner should he flee across the border: “If he leaves Germany it will be incredibly difficult to continue monitoring him. But we don’t need Christian Brueckner here to keep investigating. He doesn’t speak with us anyway.

“We will keep going as long as we believe there is still evidence out there to find – and we believe there is. One piece of forensic evidence or a new witness could crack the case instantly.”

He added officers possess more intelligence about Brueckner than the public are aware of, then continued: “There are other witnesses.”

Brueckner has consistently denied any connection to Maddie’s disappearance.

One witness, Helge Busching, previously alleged Brueckner had confided in him at a festival in neighbouring Spain that “she didn’t scream” whilst they discussed the incident. Brueckner also previously boasted during a phone conversation that he could resolve “the scandal of the century.”
