The 7 Best Watches of the Week, From Mark Zuckerberg’s Ulysse Nardin to Miles Teller’s TAG

Mark Zuckerberg and Saint Jhn, as we discovered this week, are both partial to a Ulysse Nardin. The billionaire Meta founder recently wore the dazzling, six-figure Royal Sapphire Ruby on the a16z podcast, while the Guyanese-American rapper showed off the newly released, ultra-light Diver Air at the inaugural Miami Watch Summit. (The Air was named Best Dive Watch in Robb Report’s Best of the Best awards this year.)
Across the pond, Jeff Goldblum and Jonathan Bailey watched up for the Wicked: For Good premiere in London, with the former sporting Cartier’s new extra-large gold Santos-Dumont and the latter rocking one of Omega’s timepieces for the Winter Olympics. We also spotted Lucas Bravo with a gorgeous Chinese zodiac-themed Chopard, Miles Teller with a solid-gold TAG Heuer x Porsche Carrera, and Patrick Mahomes with the freshly released Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary Red Magic.

Saint Jhn: Ulysse Nardin Diver Air
Saint Jhn: Ulysse Nardin Diver Air
Saint Jhn wore the perfect IYKYK watch to the inaugural Miami Watch Summit. Released at Watches and Wonders earlier this year, the Ulysse Nardin Diver Air is a true feat of engineering that would make any horophile weak at the knees. (It scored top honors in Robb Report’s Best of the Best awards, in fact.) Labeled the world’s lightest mechanical dive watch by the brand, the Air weighs just 52 g on the wrist (or 46 g if you remove the elastic fabric strap). To achieve this, Ulysse Nardin created a 44 mm case in a mix of titanium and carbon fiber and developed a new skeletonized movement (caliber UN-374) with several hollowed-out parts. The Air is 80 percent air and 20 percent movement, but, rather impressively, can withstand an impact of 5000 g. It retails for $38,000.
Patrick Mahomes: Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary Red Magic
Patrick Mahomes: Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary Red Magic
Patrick Mahomes is now coordinating his Hublots with his team colors. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback showed off the newly released Big Bang 20th Anniversary Red Magic on a recent segment on ESPN. (He was just named a Hublot ambassador and has been dutifully rocking the brand’s tourbillons and chronographs.) One of five limited editions the Swiss watchmaker created to celebrate two decades of Big Bangs, the Red Magic features a 43 mm case in vivid red ceramic and a striking chequerboard dial in black carbon. The self-winding HUB1280 UNICO movement is inscribed with the words “20 Years Hublot Big Bang,” and the crown is engraved with a special anniversary logo. The piece will set you back $38,400.
Mark Zuckerberg: Ulysse Nardin Royal Sapphire Ruby
Mark Zuckerberg: Ulysse Nardin Royal Sapphire Ruby
Say what you want about Mark Zuckerberg, but the man knows how to dress his wrist. He has been spotted in beauties by F.P. Journe, Greubel Forsey, Patek Philippe, and now, Ulysse Nardin. The billionaire Meta CEO recently showed off the ultra-rare Royal Sapphire Ruby while recording an episode of the a16z podcast. (You can watch it here.) This reference is one of two limited editions the Swiss watchmaker released in 2024. Inspired by the limited-edition Royal Blue from 2010, the duo showcase transparent sapphire cases and skeletonized tourbillons that seem to float within. The main plates and bridges of the calibre UN-79 are made of colored spinel (either blue or ruby) that pops against the surrounding see-through sapphire. The Royal Sapphire Blue and Ruby were limited to 18 and eight pieces, respectively, and originally retailed for $328,300.
Lucas Bravo: Chopard L.U.C. XP Urushi
Lucas Bravo: Chopard L.U.C. XP Urushi
Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo looked très chic at the Merteuil premiere in Paris on Wednesday, pairing a dramatic Dries Van Noten ensemble with some stunning Chopard jewelry. On his wrist was the L.U.C XP Urushi watch that the Swiss jeweler released in 2015 to mark the Year of the Monkey. (Chopard drops a L.U.C XP Urushi each year to celebrate the corresponding Chinese zodiac animal.) As you may have gathered from the name, the piece is based on the well-known L.U.C XP two-hander and features a traditional Japanese lacquer called urushi on the dial. The monkey is, of course, the focal point, with the 39.5 mm pink-gold case acting as a frame for the artwork on the face. The decade-old reference is listed on the Chopard site, but you can bid on one via EveryWatch.
Jonathan Bailey: Omega Seamaster Milano Cortina 2026
Jonathan Bailey: Omega Seamaster Milano Cortina 2026
Jonathan Bailey pulled out a wicked Omega at the Wicked: For Good premiere in London on Monday. He’s a “friend of the brand,” so we would expect no less. Unveiled back in Feburary, the Seamaster Milano Cortina 2026 was created in honor of the upcoming Winter Olympics. The newcomer showcases the precision for which Omega is renowned, with the in-house self-winding Co-Axial Calibre 8807 movement providing an impressive 55-hour power reserve. It looks good, too, with a 37 mm Moonshine gold case (with the Olympics logo on the back), some “dog leg” lugs, and a white Grand Feu enamel dial. The watch will set you back $21,700.
Miles Teller: TAG Heuer x Porsche Carrera Chronosprint
Miles Teller: TAG Heuer x Porsche Carrera Chronosprint
Miles Teller showed off the racy TAG Heuer x Porsche Carrera Chronosprint at the SiriusXM Studios on Monday. Released in 2023, this commemorative piece celebrates 60 years of the Porsche 911 and the Heuer Carrera. Available in steel and gold versions, the model features a 42 mm case, a domed crystal (or “Glassbox”), and a classic dial with three chronograph registers and a date window. The star is the new TH20-08 movement, which reflects the original 911’s ability to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds with the central seconds hand jumping to that point, then gradually decelerating over 60 seconds before quickly restarting. That is only one of many nods to Porsche and the 911, of course. Teller’s piece is solid rose gold and priced at $24,200.
Jeff Goldblum: Cartier Santos-Dumont
Jeff Goldblum: Cartier Santos-Dumont
Jeff Goldblum really lived up to his name—the first half of his surname, at least—at the Wicked: For Good premiere in London on Monday. The actor was absolutely dripping in 18-karat yellow-gold Cartier jewelry, pairing a diamond-encrusted Grain de Café necklace and a matching Grain de Café brooch with a newly released Santos-Dumont. This particular iteration of the iconic model features an extra-large 46.6 mm case in 18-karat gold, a wood-inspired golden dial, golden-hued steel hands, a beaded crown set with a sapphire cabochon, and a brown alligator strap with a gold ardillon buckle. All that gold will cost you $19,700.
