MADISON (WKOW) — Madison police are investigating after someone was found with a gunshot wound Sunday night on the 600 block of Whitney Way.
Police responded to the scene near Taco Bell at about 10:06 p.m.
Officers and Madison Fire Department personnel found a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and they were taken to a local hospital, according to the incident report.
Police searched the area and spoke with several witnesses. Authorities believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The Madison Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit will lead the investigation.
