Richmond legend reportedly set to return to football in 2026

Former Tigers superstar Dustin Martin is reportedly in talks to play in the NTFL during the league’s 2025/26 season, according to Northern Territory football journalist Jackson Clark.
Martin is in discussions with NTFL powerhouse St Mary’s, and is set to take the field for the club in Round 17 against Waratah “if all goes to plan”. The blockbuster fixture is currently scheduled to take place at TIO Stadium in Darwin, the venue which has hosted the AFL’s Darwin fixtures since 2004.
St Mary’s senior coach Anthony Vallejo stated that discussions have been promising.
“We are talking to [Martin], and things are looking promising,” Vallejo said.
“He has expressed interest in playing a game in Darwin and we are trying to work out a possible date with his schedule.”
