An up-and-coming star is going to be on the shelf for some time.
When speaking to the media on Saturday, Calgary Flames head coach Ryan Huska stated that defenseman Zayne Parekh will be out “week-to-week.”
Parekh’s condition stems from suffering an upper-body injury in the Flames’ game on Friday night against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Early in the second period, the 19-year-old was on the receiving end of a hard hit along the boards from Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno.
