First Alert Weather: Yellow Alert is over as lake flakes weaken and temps rise above freezing

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker is now Green as conditions should be ok the rest of the day. Lake effect snow showers will be light and spotty with nothing more than a dusting. Temperatures are rising a little above freezing, so no issues anticipated on the roads into tonight. The breeze will be brisk and that will bring a wind chill into the 20s. Even though the snow threat is very low, it will still feel wintry out there so bundle up. Conditions will slowly improve through midweek.

Some welcome sunshine is expected for Wednesday with temps back up into the 40s. Fair weather will continue into Thursday. Friday will bring milder weather but also a good chance for some rain as temps climb into the 50s. A few showers on Saturday with fair weather expected on Sunday. Looking ahead to next week and Thanksgiving no major winter storms are expected but perhaps some rain possible towards the holiday. Stay tuned to News10NBC for updates on travel weather for the holiday.
