AFL Draft Profile: Cam Nairn – Potential Landing Spots, Draft Range, Strengths

A true bolter, Cam Nairn announced himself in South Australia’s big win over Western Australia, kicking seven goals to lead his team to a commanding victory.
While his aerial potency underpinned that performance, at 188cm, he is far from the spearhead of a forward line and is viewed as most likely to be a winger in the long term, where his footy IQ and field kicking will complement that aerial ability.
The left footer received some midfield exposure late in the season for Central District, which rounded out his CV nicely, but his 22 goals, playing predominantly as a forward, was what shot him into contention.
A unique player who covers the ground well, he will offer a balanced skillset as either a connecting winger or half forward to the club that picks him up.
Viewed largely as a second-round prospect for much of the season after his breakout game, multiple clubs showed late interest in him as high as the top 10, which resulted in Nairn being one of just 14 players invited to the first night of the National Draft at Marvel Stadium.
