Steam Down Globally: Thousands Of Users Report Server Connection And Login Issues

Just a couple of days after we saw the Cloudflare outage taking down almost 20 percent of the internet, now, Steam, one of the most popular PC game store is down due to which people have been facing issues. At the time of writing this article, more than 18,000 reports of issues have been submitted on DownDetector.

Out of which around 81 percent users have reported issues in server connection on Steam. Around 10 percent of them have been facing gameplay issues. And 9 percent of the players are even unable to login to their Steam account. For you information, the outage has affected all the users of different Steam versions including Linux, OS X, and Windows.

Steam Outage Updates

As of now, the status is coming to a stable position for Steam. Most of the complaints of the close to 20,000 figure came from the United States and Canada. And Steam is not the only one as more than 60,000 users reported issues with ARC Raiders as well. For those who don’t know, ARC Raiders is a PvPvE extraction shooter game where the players come from an underground base to a devastated Earth to gather loot.
