Blues activate forward Jake Neighbours after 12-game absence

The St. Louis Blues forward has been activated from injured reserved after missing the past 12 games with a right-leg injury, the team announced on Thursday.
Neighbours suffered an injury against the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 25 and was scheduled to be re-evaluated in five weeks, but recovered much faster than expected.
Despite missing more than half of his teams’ 20 games, the Calgary native is tied for the team lead in goals with six alongside right winger Jordan Kyrou. Neighbours has seven points in just eight games played this season.
In addition to this move, the Blues have designated forward Alexandre Texier as non-roster.
Texier has recorded one assist and two penalty minutes in eight games with the Blues this season.
Neighbours’ next chance to return will be on Thursday night against the Flyers in Philadelphia.
