Even the most well-planned Thanksgiving feast may be missing a side or that one key ingredient, resulting in a last-minute grocery store run. For many, that store is Kroger or one of its other stores.
So, is Kroger open on Thanksgiving? Here’s what you need to know.
When is Thanksgiving 2025?
Thanksgiving is on the fourth Thursday of November every year. This year, it is on Thursday, Nov. 27.
Is Kroger open on Thanksgiving?
Yes and no. Kroger stores open on Thanksgiving have modified hours, closing at 5 p.m. Most pharmacies will be closed, according to the company website.
Hours may vary by location, so check your store before shopping.
Are other Kroger family stores open on Thanksgiving?
The Kroger family of stores includes: Baker’s, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Foods Co, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, Gerbes, Jay C Food Store, King Soopers, Kroger, Mariano’s, Metro Market, Pay-Less Super Markets, Pick’n Save, QFC, Ralphs, Ruler, Smith’s Food and Drug.
