‘It’s disgusting I’m not gonna lie’ – Nathan Aspinall reacts to viral sick video and jokes he needs to ask for more cash

NATHAN ASPINALL and Chris Dobey have talked about the worst Big Fish they have ever experienced – and why they were happy to be PUKED ON in a social media clip.
From throwing darts to throwing up, the Premier League duo have spilled their guts to SunSport about why they agreed to take part in a sickening stunt.

Their joint sponsors Phatlads had this idea of five lads in a car and one of them would open a tin containing ‘Surstromming’, dubbed ‘the world’s stinkiest fish’.
Few people can take the “grim” smell and this proved to be the case as those in the vehicle, including Aspinall and Dobey, started being sick.
One guy, a supposed ‘influencer’ who should know better, even vomited all over the seats in a clip that has gone viral on TikTok.
Not everybody is happy and some have complained to the oche stars, saying they should be better role models.

But Aspinall, a father of two, who is always up for a laugh, told SunSport: “Phatlads are my sponsor, they have been with me for two years now. And they’re a bit different to say the least.
“I know people haven’t liked it. Some people have liked it. Others found it funny.
“At the end of day, it’s just five lads in a car being sick.
“It’s disgusting, I’m not going to lie. But it’s what the current world is about.

“The current world is about social media and overnight it has had four million views.
“From a sponsorship point of view, it’s absolutely fantastic for them.
“To the point where I’m messaging them, saying already, your fees are going up next year!”
Normally, Big Fishes in darts relate to taking out the highest checkout possible, a 170, but this was one encounter they will not forget in a hurry.
Aspinall, 34, the former UK Open and World Matchplay champion, added: “The smell was vile! If you actually watch the video, we didn’t even open the can.
“The fish is Norwegian. It’s a delicacy over there. Listen, it was grim.
“We’re probably the only two darts players that would have said yes, me and Dobey. Hence why they probably sponsor us as we’re a bit different to other players.
‘WE OFFENDED PEOPLE’
“We don’t mind having a bit of a laugh. Two of the guys drank something prior to make them projectile vomit like that.
“That’s why me and Dobey were sat in the back. We have offended people. We have already had emails about it.
“People are saying, we’re role models, my kids look up to you, you’re doing stuff like that. To them people, I’m like, grow up, it’s fun.”
‘I’D GIVE IT A GO’
Dobey – who has played in four editions of the Premier League Darts, twice as a contender – played along with the stunt filmed last week in Stoke despite efforts to keep putting it off.
Who knows, maybe he has the right mindset to go into the Jungle as a future ‘I’m a Celeb…’ contestant, though he might receive favouritism from fellow Newcastle fans, the hosts Ant & Dec.
The North East thrower, 35, said: “Definitely, I’d go into the Jungle. I don’t think I could handle it but I’d give it a go.
“Something that I’ve watched ever since being a kid as well. It will be good fun.

“It wasn’t a pleasant smell. Luckily I wasn’t sitting at the front of the car.
“Have I seen it? How could I not? It has been plastered all over social media. It isn’t a great look. I will know for next time. It was crazy.”
