Strictly Come Dancing star George Clarke is preparing to celebrate a “big first” ahead of Blackpool.
The YouTuber and his professional partner Alexis Warr have continued to impress the judges and viewers with their impressive routines this series.
Now, the pair are heading to Blackpool, where they will perform in the iconic Tower Ballroom alongside their fellow competitors.
Ahead of their performance this weekend, George and Alexis appeared on Strictly spin-off, It Takes Two, on Thursday (November 20), where they celebrated a huge achievement with host Janette Manrara.
During the interview, Janette noted that it was the first time that both George and Alexis would be dancing in the “legendary” Tower Ballroom, after pro dancer Alexis joined the cast this year, reports Wales Online.

“This is such a big first for both of us, and so, I am so excited,” Alexis said.
Janette then asked: “Everybody wants to make it to this point in the competition. How does it feel knowing that you’re about to dance in the legendary Tower Ballroom?”
George replied: “I feel like I’ve heard a lot about it and I don’t know if you can prepare yourself for it… It’s like a privilege to, sort of, be on my own little dance journey, and to be able to dance somewhere that I know the pros and a lot of dancers would love to be able to dance. That’ll be a very cool feeling I think.”
Building their excitement, Janette noted: “I promise you, once you get there, you’re gonna feel the magic in that space. It’s beautiful.”

For their first dance in the Tower Ballroom, George and Alexis will be performing an energetic Salsa to Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now) by Bob Sinclar, which Alexis called “so fun”.
However, the pair won’t be dancing the routine alone as they will be joined by five additional professional dancers.
“Initially, I said to Alexis, I was like, ‘This could go horribly wrong. That is terrifying to me.’ Usually, I’m the lower 50 percent of dancers in the room. Now, I’m ten percent. It’s really quite scary,” George said.
“But because of the way the Salsa is, because of the song we’ve got, it just kind of aids to the whole thing, and I’m aware they weren’t there to try and steal the show.”
The star concluded: “It’s all, sort of, lifting up to this party atmosphere and it’s really quite fun.”
