All cameos in Disney’s Zootopia 2 confirmed so far, explained

A sequel to Disney’s 2016 animated buddy cop comedy film, Zootopia, Zootopia 2 is scheduled to be released in theatres on November 26, 2025, nearly a decade after the release of the original film.
In the film, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde return once again, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, joined by familiar voices like Idris Elba, Bonnie Hunt, and Nate Torrence.
The sequel is also bringing some celebrity cameos. Among those are Dwayne Johnson, Auliʻi Cravalho, Josh Gad, Stephanie Beatriz, Wilmer Valderrama, John Leguizamo, and even Ed Sheeran, who lends his voice to a sheep character.

Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Zootopia 2 features the following actors in cameo roles:
- Dwayne Johnson voices Zeke, a dik-dik.
- Auliʻi Cravalho as the anti-venom pen.
- Josh Gad voices Paul Moledebrandt, a mole who works in ZPD IT.
- Anika Noni Rose voices the “Squeal of Fortune” mouse.
- Stephanie Beatriz voices Bloats, a hippo cop.
- Wilmer Valderrama voices Higgins, another hippo cop.
- John Leguizamo voices Antony, a smarmy anteater smuggler.
Bush emphasized how important it was for the sequel to feel like a genuine celebration of Disney’s animated legacy, not just a follow-up to the original Zootopia. He stated:
“From the beginning, Easter eggs and winks to our favorite films and characters have been a hallmark of the world of Zootopia. We are ecstatic that Zootopia 2 expands our Zootopia family to include even more members of our extended Disney family, filled with dear friends and true Disney Legends.”

Zootopia 2 follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as their partnership is tested like never before: tensions rise between them, and they’re sent undercover when a mysterious new reptile, pit viper Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan), arrives in Zootopia.
Soon, his arrival sparks a dangerous conspiracy, which draws Judy and Nick into unfamiliar territory within the city from murky marsh markets to hidden reptile districts. Their friendship and trust are pushed to their limit as they navigate this complex mystery.

The original Zootopia film, which was directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore, released in the United States on March 4, 2016, becoming an instant global success, soaring past the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.
Praised by critics and audiences alike for its stunning animation, witty storytelling, and exploration of themes such as prejudice and ambition, the film secured the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 89th Academy Awards.
Its success solidified Zootopia as a major Disney franchise, spawning in other media, including the 2022 Disney+ streaming series, Zootopia+, and a dedicated theme park attraction like Zootopia: Hot Pursuit in Shanghai.
Now, the buddy cop duo, Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, are once again returning on big screen with Zootopia 2, which is arriving in theatres on November 26, 2025.
