Kerry Katona opens up in her latest new magazine column about ex-husband Brian McFadden’s wife joining the jungle camp as she reflects on the time Vogue and Brian were married.
The former Atomic Kitten singer also opens up on how recovery from her latest surgery is going, and as Lewis Capaldi was spotted jumping on the tube, explains why using public transport is always a last resort for her – and it’s nothing to do with being recognised.

I’ve slowed down loads since my breast surgery but it’s not easy, I feel lazy, sat at home! My body’s restricting me. I’m not even meant to wear a bra for six weeks! I can’t lie on my side – I’m very aware that the implant went through scar tissue, so I’m sleeping on my back, which is frustrating. It’s even the muscles you use when you’re driving. I was tidying up the house the other day, hurt myself and then remembered I just have to be careful.
BLENDED FAMILIES

I had Paolo and his little ones stay at the weekend, they have their own bedroom. Our families have just blended so organically. Having Paolo here with them has brought out the best in me and my kids – we’re stronger now. I’m very maternal and it’s gorgeous to be in a relationship with someone who knows what it’s like to be a parent – I didn’t have that last time. This Christmas we’ll have seven children and four dogs in the house! It’s looking so festive, I have all the decs up. It sounds chaotic, but it won’t be. My kids are a lot older and they love having two toddlers around – Heidi’s obsessed with them!

Lewis Capaldi is worth millions but was seen on the tube going to his own gig at the 02 – this is why we love Lewis Capaldi! It wouldn’t be my first choice, I do use public transport sometimes, but I get mad anxiety, it’s about being in public spaces. Performing, no problem. But travelling on public transport my kids even see the change in me – I kind of walk like a man and start going quicker! I think I’d have a nervous breakdown getting on a tube. London’s got really scary – it’s not even a fame thing, it’s just proper fear.

So, my ex-husband Brian McFadden’s ex-wife Vogue Williams has gone into the jungle. How funny is that?! I do think she’ll do well. But I don’t know her personally. I remember her waving at me from the car when Brian picked up the kids, she never made any particular effort to come and say hi to me – which I think is important as a stepmum. I never ‘officially’ met Vogue. But good luck to her. I’m not bothered if she talks about Brian round the campfire – we were together twenty years ago, it’s old news. It’s great to see Tom Read Wilson in camp, he’s the sweetest kindest soul, I love him.
IT’S NEVER TOO LATE

I saw that Loose Women’s Brenda Edwards ‘soft launched’ her new partner on Instagram recently. Good on her, you only have one life and everyone deserves happiness. She’s been through a lot, after divorcing her husband of 27 years and losing her son Jamal in 2022. She deserves every bit of happiness. I know from experience, you can go through terrible heartache in life and love and have a wonderful new start. Being with Paulo, I’m only realising now, I don’t think I’d ever properly been in love before. I want us to grow old together.
