The Saints are working out Justin Tucker, who was suspended for alleged sexual misconduct

The New Orleans Saints will host embattled kicker Justin Tucker on a tryout this week as the team explores its options over whether to move on from Blake Grupe, The Times-Picayune has confirmed with a source familiar with the decision.
The NFL Network first reported Monday that Tucker was among a group to receive an invite, marking the 36-year-old’s first workout with an NFL team since he served a 10-game suspension following allegations that he acted inappropriately during massage therapy appointments.
In January 2025, the Baltimore Banner reported that six different women accused Tucker of inappropriate behavior during massage sessions from 2012 to 2016. Weeks later, 10 more women came forward with additional accusations, which they said included Tucker exposing himself intentionally and leaving ejaculate on the massage table.
Tucker strongly denied the accusations and his agent, Robert Roche, said in a statement to ESPN that Tucker was “disappointed” in his suspension.
“Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud,” Roche said. “He stands by his previous statements. In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter.
“The people who know Justin best know his character and understand that while he remains fully committed to excellence as a football player, he is deeply dedicated to his most important lifetime roles as a father, husband, and friend.”
Before the allegations, Tucker was regarded as one of the best kickers in the NFL. He spent 13 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and was named to seven Pro Bowls. He was released in May 2025 in what the team classified as “a football decision.” Tucker struggled in 2024, missing 10 total kicks — three more than his previous worst. He made 22 of 30 field goal attempts that season.
Tucker’s 10-game suspension recently concluded, making him eligible to sign with another team.
Cade York, a former LSU kicker who has had NFL stints with five different teams, is also supposed to be working out for the Saints, the NFL Network reports. He saw time with the Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders and Cincinnati Bengals in 2024.
The Saints are in the process of evaluating their kicker situation after incumbent Blake Grupe missed two of his three attempts in Sunday’s 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Grupe is now 18 of 26 on the season and leads the NFL in missed attempts.
The Saints’ exploration in Tucker comes three years after the team also explored acquiring quarterback Deshaun Watson, who served an 11-game suspension after more than 20 women accused him of inappropriate sexual conduct during massage therapy sessions.
