”Going down” – Stick To Football rip into “dreadful” Leeds United with brutal Aston Villa calls

Leeds United face a tall order to get a result against an impressive Aston Villa side this weekend, and they aren’t fancied to get a result.
United have had plenty of time to mull over what’s gone wrong of late under Daniel Farke in the Premier League. Most recently, four losses in the last five leave Leeds just above the bottom three.
It doesn’t help that Farke’s side have a very difficult run of games between now and mid-January, starting with sixth-placed Aston Villa.

As Leeds return to action this weekend at Elland Road against Unai Emery’s Villans, predictions are coming in for the Premier League.
Included in that was the Stick To Football and their Super 6 calls for six games across the Premier League this weekend, where Leeds’ game features.
“Villa,” Ian Wright responded, without hesitation, to which Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher agreed with a 2-0 away scoreline.

“Leeds were so bad against Forest, weren’t they? I know they’re at home. Leeds are going down, they were dreadful against Forest,” Roy Keane remarked.
“I said Leeds were going down after watching them on the first game of the season,” Neville then chimed in. “I thought ‘that’s not right, that’. Everton were shocking that night, I thought, but Leeds…”
Ian Wright then added his thoughts as he weighed up a score prediction: “This is why I’m no good that them [predictions], why am I giving somebody a goal just because they’re at home? I don’t give Leeds a goal, unfortunately, I love you but bro..”
“In then end, Villa will go and win two or three-nil and you go ‘oh they’re doomed’,” Keane continued.
Leeds United need to return to organised defensive structure to get points on the board against Aston Villa
Leeds have consistently looked toothless and devoid of creativity in the final third since their promotion. The alarming thing for me of late has been how our defensive solidity has fallen by the wayside.
At the start of October, Leeds were sixth in the division for xG conceded (8.1). Now, we’ve dropped down to 12th in the space of four games (14.6).
Almost doubling our xG conceded in a month is really worrying after an encouraging start. Farke needs to get back on track and dispel all the frustration centred around him. As a result, Farke needs to find a solution to re-organise our defence.
Here, you can understand why five neutrals on this podcast are so adamant that we’re “doomed” for relegation. Unsurprisingly, it’s because we have looked bad in the past two games.
