Eczema, external – Eczema, is a common skin condition characterised by inflammation, redness, and itching. It is a chronic condition that can affect people of all ages but is often seen in infants and children. Although common, eczema is not something you can catch from others. Eczema often results from a combination of genetic and environmental factors. People with a family history of allergic conditions, such as asthma or hay fever, may be more prone to developing eczema. Psoriasis , external– Psoriasis is classed as an immune-mediated inflammatory condition (or IMID) which simply means that the immune system is not functioning correctly.
