The BBC cooking show sees celebs (and some v v v unexpected faces) battle it out in the kitchen during a range of food-themed challenges and each episode, things keep getting spicier.

As we enjoy the show, we also get to learn more about the series’ cast – and we’ve been pretty invested in Jamie’s arc.

So, without further ado, here’s your primer on Jamie Lomas: from his career, to his former relationship with Kym Marsh.

Who is Jamie Lomas?

Jamie Lomas is a British actor best known for his appearances on UK soap operas Hollyoaks and EastEnders.

For those of us who aren’t up-to-date with the soaps, you may well recognise Jamie from the 17th series of I’m A Celeb, where he placed second.

Fun fact: his sister Charley Webb is also soap opera royalty, and played Debbie Dingle on Emmerdale for 19 years.

Jamie Lomas was born on 21 April 1975, making him 50 years old.

What is Jamie Lomas’ job?

Jamie Lomas is an iconic British soap actor.

His role as Warren Fox on Hollyoaks has to be one of the most legendary baddies on UK TV: he played the role from 2005 to 2011 and then 2016 to 2017, made a one-off appearance in 2018 and 2019, and reprised his role from 2020 to 2024.

If you know anything about soaps, you know that the characters who keep coming back are always the best. Warren was the typical bad boy and Jamie’s portrayal of the drug dealing, philandering, murdering (and admittedly pretty sexy) Hollyoaks local featured everything from a fake death to plenty of feuds.

Jamie also appeared as the seductive recovering alcoholic Jake Stone in Eastenders from 2013 – 2014.

When was Jamie Lomas married to Kym Marsh?

With both Jamie and his sister being soap opera royalty, it makes sense that he would become involved with someone who was also a British TV star.

In 2008, Jamie began dating Kym Marsh: the actress and singer who was known for her time in the band Hear’say (which formed on the reality show Popstars), her solo music career, and her long-running (2006 to 2019) stint as Michelle Connor on Coronation Street.

After beginning their relationships in 2008, the couple announced they were expecting a child in 2009.

Their son Archie was born 18 weeks early on 11 February 2009 and tragically died moments after being born.

The couple have another child together, called Polly, who was born on 23 March 2011.

Jamie and Kym got married in September 2012 and Kym announced she would be taking Jamie’s second name professionally.

However, the couple separated in 2013 and divorced in 2014. In the later stages of the marriage, Kym had an alleged relationship with fellow Coronation Street star Oliver Mellor.

Now, Jamie and Kym appear to be on good terms and successfully co-parent their daughter Polly.

Speaking to The Mirror about the dynamic, Kym has said: “We have a very good relationship, Jamie and I. Polly has a good relationship with her dad. We have nothing bad to say about each other.”

Who is Jamie Lomas’ new girlfriend?

Jamie Lomas is currently engaged to Dr Jess Bell, a cosmetic dentist.

The became engaged during a holiday to Mexico in 2023.

The couple welcomed a child together, a baby girl called Bella, in 2024.
