I’m A Celebrity fans said that they’re ‘obsessed’ after American Ruby Wax ‘forgout’ about her husband after an encounter with one of the stars of the ITV reality series.

Despite fans not impressed with Ruby telling Angry Ginge to ‘stay out of her light’ in the season premiere, the 72-year-old has gone on to win over viewers. Ruby and Manchester streamer Ginge became close pals after taking on an eating trial together.

Ruby has proved to be of great assistance to presenters Ant and Dec as she’s gone back to her talk show days and has been asking her campmates lots of questions about their lives. Viewers have seen her talk to Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley about her weight loss and to former Lioness Alex Scott about her relationship with Jess Glynne.

Best known for her series Ruby Wax Meets, which aired from 1994 until 1998, Ruby has interviewed the likes of Donald Trump, Bill Cosby and OJ Simpson over the years. According to Ruby, the President of the United States once stopped talking to her when she laughed off his political ambitions.

Away from the spotlight, Ruby has been married to television producer and director Ed Bye since 1988. Together they share three children, son Max, and daughters Madeleine and Marina.

Prior to meeting Ed, who has directed episodes of the science-fiction sitcom Red Dwarf, Ruby was married to Andrew Porter from 1976 until 1980, before marrying Trevor Walton the following year, with their marriage lasting several months.

On Monday night (November 24), Ruby was joined by Lisa as they took on a Dingo Dollar Challenge. Unfortunately, the campmates were unable to answer a question correctly to win crips to feast on.

However, Ruby appeared to get on swimmingly with Kiosk Kev, whose real name is Mark Herlaar. Kev is a fan favourite on the programme as he never breaks character when dealing with the stars.

Kev has been on I’m A Celebrity since back in 2018, with Kiosk Keith initially filling in the role of the person overseeing the camp’s treats. Kiosk Keith, real name Raymond Grant, made his onscreen debut in 2013 after initially joining as a set builder in 2002.

Keith departed halfway through the 2017 series, with Ant and Dec telling viewers he had become unwell. ITV later confirmed in early 2018 that ‘Ray is no longer under contract on the show’ and there were ‘no plans for him to return’.

On Monday, Kev winked at Ruby after he revealed pulled the bag of crisps away from her and Lisa. Immediately bursting into laughter, Lisa asked Ruby ‘did you see that’.

Ruby, who said she ‘forgot’ about her husband during the exchange, replied before blowing a kiss to Kev: “I did. Okay, later, we’ll forgive you.”

Those watching the episode at home rushed to X, previously known as Twitter, to have their say on a rare moment where Kiosk Kev didn’t stare stone-faced at the contestants.
