Slavia Prague vs Athletic Club: UEFA Champions League stats & head-to-head

Slavia Prague’s Champions League goal drought continued as they played out a goalless draw with Athletic Club on a frustrating night for both sides in Prague.
The Czech outfit have now gone four consecutive matches without a goal in this European campaign, while they are without a win in Europe in 11 matches with their last victory coming against Ludogorets in the Europa League in September 2024.
Athletic Club’s Robert Navarro had a trio of opportunities in quick succession early in the second half, but three brilliant saves from home keeper Jindrich Stanek denied the Bilbao side a second European win of the season.
Winger Navarro tested Stanek down to his right, then got in behind the defence to force another good save before going close with a header.
The visitors enjoyed the better of the chances but a resilient Prague prevented them from breaking the deadlock and ensured their winless run away from home extended to six matches in major European competitions.
It was a disappointing point for both sides, who have difficult fixtures on the horizon.
Both sit in the elimination zone with Athletic Club in 28th with Paris St-Germain coming up, while Prague, who play Tottenham then Barcelona, are two places below.
