I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here viewers think they have rumbled the ‘real reason’ for Angry Ginge’s tears after they were left wanting to ‘give him a hug’.

The streamer and YouTube star was among the ten celebrities to enter camp when the ITV reality show returned for its 2025 series earlier this year, and just over a week on and there are now 12 campmates following the arrival of two latecomers.

During Sunday’s (November 23) episode, it was revealed that the public had been voting for a new camp leader, with rapper Aitch winning the vote and picking Ginge as his deputy. They were allowed to sit in the leaders’ comfy seats around the campfire, sleep in the treehouse and use the treehouse dunny (toilet).

But their new appointment seemingly ruffled feathers. During Monday’s (November 24) episode, Aitch and Ginge, real names Harrison Armstrong and Morgan Burtwhistle, enjoyed their first morning as camp leader and deputy and they decided to enjoy the luxury of their new positions and snoozed in.

Aitch eventually made his way to greet the others and told them: “The only thing that got me up then was the thought of all you lot slagging me off saying how’s the new leader last up [in the morning]?”

Ginge, however, was even more leisurely, as comedian Eddie Kaddi recalled he was “still asleep and then he comes out in a sleeping bag and starts roaming around like The Little Mermaid, I don’t understand.”

As the day’s community meeting started, Ruby Wax was quick to tell Aitch and Ginge she was very confused about their new roles, saying she doesn’t like the new status they had “because we were all on an even plane. [It] has thrown me a little bit”. She questioned: “Are we playing king and deputy, and we’re the low people?”

Ruby added that she felt “a little” scared of Aitch and Ginge, and she didn’t feel that way with latecomers Vogue Williams and Tom Read Wilson “because they never took it seriously.” Ruby also admitted in the Bush Telegraph: “I think we’re divided…”

Aitch tried to reassure her, by saying the only thing that had changed was that he didn’t have a chore to do. Ruby replied: “No but there’s a vibe…” Jack Osbourne added to the conversation: “I know this isn’t intentional Ginge but it got in my head about how well you played saying you only got five stars. I was like- can I trust Ginge?”

Later, Ginge was seen feeling emotional in camp, as he looked at the photo of his family whilst lying on his bed in the treehouse. In the Bush Telegraph he revealed: “It’s a bit of a sh*t day really, I just feel as though I’m missing home, missing speaking to my family, food and drink as well is a massive part but they say you have up days and down days…” Ginge then paused to put his head in his heads as he got choked and said: “I’m holding it in. I suppose it’s just one of my down days…”

But while it appeared he was missing home, some I’m A Celeb viewers felt he was upset after the comments made by his fellow campmates about his and Aitch’s ‘performance’ as camp leader and deputy.

@janineb.1989 said: “I think everyone’s comments in the morning triggered this, especially Jack’s comment. Poor Ginge.” @sharonannstowj15 commented: “He seemed quiet after ruby said there was a divide and jack said he didn’t no if he could trust him. Bless him he’s a lovely lad I think aitch and ginge are stars of the show.”

@jo_burnham22 posted: “I think Jack upset him aswell by saying is he really who he says he is, and when Aitch came back Jack again made a dig by saying tell the truth don’t do what Ginge did. I feel so sorry for him.” @sam_baynam94 wrote: “Felt so sorry for him in this episode. He is usually so bubbly and to see him so homesick was so sad… he needs a cuddle.”

@looloozl79 shared: “Someone please go and hug this man because my hearts breaking and im only watching him through a screen. He’s such a wonderful young man and he is being so honest. @antanddec please go and hug him for us.” @johnmichael66666 added: “Jack & Ruby started that with their comments Jack thinks it’s ok for him to act angry about stars but no one said they didn’t trust him.”
