Credit Unions are shaking up the mortgage market – and it can only be a good thing
Demand for mortgages has pushed overall lending at the State’s credit unions to a record level. The sector has seen a 28pc surge in mortgage lending in the year to September when compared with last year.
Mortgage lending for the sector is now close to €1bn. Credit unions have ambitions to grow their mortgage lending into the tens of billions of euro.
