Connors State basketball sophomore suffered a head injury while playing. He died a few days later.

WARNER, Okla. –
Connors State Basketball has announced the passing of 20-year-old Ethan Dietz only days after he suffered a head injury during a game against Grayson College over the weekend.
In a post, the College announced the sophomore died on November 25, less than a week after he was badly injured during the second period of the game on Saturday.
The college is offering mental health services for their students, faculty, and staff as they also extend their condolences for everyone affected by the loss.
“Our hearts go out to his family and friends,” the post said.
With this sudden incident, the College has also announced the cancellation of future games to give the players and staff time.

- Women’s Basketball, Saturday, Nov. 29 at Warner vs Labette County
- Men’s Basketball, Wednesday, Nov. 26 vs SAU Tech
- Men’s Basketball, Monday, Dec. 1 vs Grayson
Ethan Dietz vigil
A vigil was announced to “move through this loss together as a community,” where friends and family can gather to share a moment for Dietz.
The Ethan Dietz vigil will be held on Monday, December 1 at 7 p.m. in the Nero Fine Arts Building on the Warner Campus.
