An Amazon Web Services outage has downed leading websites and apps, including Snapchat, Roblox and Lyft.

Fortnite players around the world are reporting issues with the game Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 26.

Gamers were reporting issues with the Epic Games video game Wednesday afternoon, according to DownDetector.com, which monitors problems with sites.

“User reports indicate problems at Fortnite,” the website said at 2:37 p.m. Wednesday.

The issue peaked at about 1 p.m. with more than 6,600 players globally reporting issues. A little more than 2,700 were reporting issues at 2:37 p.m.

“We’re aware of players being unable to login to Fortnite. Our team is investigating the issue and we’ll follow up once the issue has been resolved,” The Fortnite Status account said in a statement posted at 12:51 p.m. on X.

Issues reported on DownDetectors included log-in, connection and game play.

What is Epic Games?

Epic Games, founded in 1991 and based in North Carolina, is an interactive entertainment company that operates Fortnite. The game experiences under Fortnite include Fortnite Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival, as well as creator-made experiences, according to the company.

Epic Games has over 800 million accounts and over six billion friend connections across its interactive experiences.
