‘Bad news, I can’t do it in front of that lovely blue floral wallpaper anymore, due to the fact that the room is upstairs and I’ve just had my second below-the-knee amputation,’ she revealed.
‘Unfortunately, those facilities are not available to me at this current moment in time,’ she added before showing off her ‘new whip,’ a wheelchair she’s lovingly branded ‘fat tony.’

This latest update comes years after her first amputation, a decision she previously described as life-changing. Codd injured her foot during a football match at age 15, setting off nearly a decade of surgeries, hospital visits, and ongoing pain.
A 2022 interview with The Irish Examiner has resurfaced in the wake of her announcement, highlighting just how much the injury impacted her life.
Speaking at the time, Codd said: ‘My injury is the greatest challenge I’ve faced in my life so far. I injured it playing soccer at the age of 15. It never healed correctly so until I was 23, I was on and off crutches, getting loads of operations. Because of nerve damage and chronic pain, I chose to get it amputated. It took eight years of my life, constantly going in and out of hospital.
‘My whole life revolved around trying to heal my leg. For years, I didn’t see it getting any better. I was stuck in a really bad mindset and I was pissed off at life. When I made the decision to amputate it, things finally started to turn around. It was a relief. I could get on my life.;
Her new TikTok revelation did not include extensive details about the circumstances leading to this second procedure, but the actress appeared resolute as she shared the update.
Naturally, fans were quick to take to the comments and wish the star well amidst her ongoing health battle.
‘Best of luck with the recovery. you funny cooker!’ one user wrote.
‘Your a warrior Ruth..great to see you back,’ another penned.
‘I’m just glad they didn’t take your funny bone,’ a third joked.
