To better serve its customers in the growing city of Hamilton, a new Walmart Supercentre is expected to open in early 2027 at Lime Ridge Mall. This new store will help make it even more convenient for Hamiltonians to shop with Walmart.
The approximately 140,000 square-foot Lime Ridge Walmart Supercentre will feature:
- A full grocery department with fresh produce, bakery, and deli
- Expanded home, electronics and apparel sections
- A Walmart Pharmacy
Plus, customers will be able to access Walmart Canada’s full online order pickup and delivery options for grocery and general merchandise – in as fast as two hours!

Visitors to Lime Ridge Mall will soon see Walmart’s signage on the previous Sears space, located at the north end of the mall and accessible and visible from Upper Wentworth Street.
Walmart Canada has announced a $6.5 billion announcement over the next five years to expand its store and supply chain footprint. As part of this plan, in 2025 Walmart Canada opened new Supercentres in Port Credit and Oakville in Ontario and grand opened its Ambient Distribution Centre in Vaughan, ON. So far, four new Supercentres are slated to open over the next two years: Fort McMurray, AB, Sherbrooke, QC, Tsuut’ina Nation, AB and Hamilton, ON.
Walmart Canada is proud to operate 150 stores in Ontario, including 6 in Hamilton, and employs over 45,000 associates in the province.
