Prince Harry’s Christmas plans could be spoiled by Meghan’s move, experts say

Meghan Markle might spoil any plans Prince Harry may have about spending Christmas with his dad over claims she broke an agreement the couple made with the Royal Family.
When the pair stepped down as senior members of Britain’s Royal Family in January 2020, they became financially independent from the family and agreed they would no longer be working members of it.
Meghan and Harry also agreed they they would not use their “Royal Highness” titles, and while they did not lose their Duke and Duchess titles, Buckingham Palace told them to not use them in public for commercial gain.
Since then, Harry has reportedly had limited contact with his father and brother, amid the couple publicly slamming the Royal Family over how they were treated by it.
During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, writer Kaitlyn Greenidge said she and the Duchess of Sussex entered a New York City home that belonged to one of Markle’s wealthy friends Victoria Jackson.
Kaitlyn claimed that Meghan was announced as “Duchess of Sussex” by a house manager, even though there were only two people present in the room.
Royal experts say they were stunned to by the allegation and claim it shows how tightly Meghan is holding onto the prestige of her royal status.
British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital, “This is not protocol, let alone royal protocol.
“It’s bizarre and highlights that Meghan attaches enormous importance to her royal status.
“Meghan will cling to her Duchess of Sussex title because it gives her a sense of importance. The title remains useful for Meghan’s business activities, particularly in the United States. It gets people talking and keeps her in the limelight.”
British journalist Jane Moore accused Meghan of using her royal connections for personal gain, writing in The Sun,”The Sussexes supposedly ‘Megxited’ from the UK five years ago for a life of ‘financial independence’, yet they continue to rinse their royal connections for their own commercial gain.”
She also said hat the Sussexes’ use of their “bestowed” titles is “hilariously egotistical and breathtakingly hypocritical”.
The revalation about Meghan being announced as a duchess come after Closer reported Harry is hoping his father will invite him to spend Christmas with him in the UK, as the pair attempt to rebuild their relationship.
An insider said, “Harry is on tenterhooks waiting to get the go-ahead to visit King Charles in England at Christmas and is adamant that he needs to be with his father any chance he gets.”
The claim about Meghan could irk King Charles and prompt him to not invite Harry to spend the festive season with him.
Harry met his father at his London home in September in a bid to build relations between the pair, in what was their first face-to-face meeting in 19 months.
