Halifax RCMP are warning those in the Oldham Road area of Enfield to stay in doors as they search for a suspect considered armed and dangerous.
Shortly after 11 a.m., RCMP responded reports of a man with a firearm in the 100 block of Oldham Rd. At the time, police said there had been no reports of shots fired.
The suspect was last seen on foot in the area. They are described as wearing a white t-shirt and having tattoos on their face.
“Stay inside and close and lock doors and windows,” RCMP said in an emergency alert issued at 11:37 a.m.
Police are saying not to provide a ride to anyone asking for one. Anything suspicious should be reported to 9-1-1.
