Punjab Kings’ emotional social media post featuring MS Dhoni in Ranchi during Virat Kohli’s century celebration goes viral
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS) lavished praise on Virat Kohli after the batting great smashed his 52nd ODI century during the first ODI clash against South Africa at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
The IPL 2025 finalists, PBKS, took to their social media to share a picture featuring MS Dhoni and Kohli standing there. The picture went viral on social media. Here is the picture.
Why did PBKS share Kohli’s picture with MS Dhoni?
Notably, the SCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi is MS Dhoni’s home ground, and recently, India’s 2011 World Cup-winning captain invited Kohli to his place for dinner.

Virat Kohli’s century
Kohli completed his 52nd ODI century in 102 balls, including seven fours and five maximums. With this ton, he surpassed cricketing god Sachin Tendulkar to smash the most centuries against South Africa.
Tendulkar smashed five ODI centuries against the Proteas, and as Kohli smashed a century in the first ODI, he completed six against South Africa, which is the most by any Indian batter.
Virat Kohli now has 83 international centuries, with 30 in Test matches, 52 in One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 1 in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He is the second-highest scorer of international centuries behind Sachin Tendulkar. However, Kohli got out after scoring 135 runs in 120 balls, including 11 fours and seven sixes.
