WCPO anchor leaves station after 3+ years: ‘It’s been an honor.’

Earlier this year, The Enquirer ranked the top 20 Cincinnati TV personalities of all time. Here’s who made the list.

A WCPO Channel 9 weekend anchor and reporter has left the station.

Bret Buganski has left WCPO-TV after more than three years on the air, he shared via social media on Nov. 30. Buganski added that the Nov. 30 broadcast would be his last day on air.

“It’s been an honor and a privilege to be here for 3+ years in Cincinnati,” Buganski wrote. “I’ve had a great time and made so many new friends along the way. This is the way to go out, with my friends. Love you guys! [Marshall Kramsky] [Cameron Hardin].”

More information about Buganski’s next steps has yet to be revealed.

Buganski joined WCPO in August 2022, and has served there as a weekend anchor and reporter, per his WCPO bio.

Buganski, a Chicago native, graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2007, per his LinkedIn profile. Throughout his career, he’s worked as a multimedia journalist, anchor, and reporter in Quincy, Illinois; Champaign, Illinois; Milwaukee; Tucson, Arizona; Oklahoma City and Wichita, Kansas.
