WBBL SQUAD: Bouchier to replace Kapp for Stars
For the first time in WBBL|11, the Melbourne Stars have made a change to their 13-player squad, with Maia Bouchier set to face the Sixers on Wednesday afternoon.
Bouchier was secured as an international replacement player for Marizanne Kapp, who returns to South Africa for an upcoming T20 series against Ireland.
After playing for the Stars in WBBL|07 and WBBL|09, Bouchier is no stranger to the competition.
The right-hand bat has represented England in 45 T20s and will be available for the remainder of the Stars’ campaign.
Melbourne will be looking to bounce back quickly when they meet Sydney at Drummoyne Oval, less than two days after a loss to the Hurricanes.
This will be the second time in two weeks that the Stars and Sixers face off, with Meg Lanning scoring a match-winning century in their first encounter.
Wednesday’s match, which is the Stars’ second last of the regular season, will get underway at 3:40pm (AEDT).
