A video of ace Indian batter Virat Kohli involved in an intense chat with former cricketer and present selector Pragyan Ojha has gone viral on social media, with netizens wondering if the discussion had anything to do with recent rumours about Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s uncertain future in the Indian team.
The duo are currently involved in a three-match ODI series against South Africa, the first of which they won, riding on Kohli‘s hundred. The second game will be played on Wednesday at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium.
A viral clip on social media shows Kohli and Ojha deep in conversation, their body language suggesting a serious exchange rather than casual chatter, sparking widespread fan speculation.

Kohli’s record-extending 52nd ODI hundred, backed by Rohit’s quickfire 57, set up India’s 17-run victory over South Africa in the Ranchi series-opener. The home bowlers were pushed hard by a spirited Protea chase but held their nerve to seal the win.
With the 2027 ODI World Cup just two years out, Kohli and Rohit are not only showing their fitness and form every match but are reportedly navigating rising tensions with head coach Gautam Gambhir as well.
After orchestrating consecutive ODI victories for India, including a dominant nine-wicket thrashing of Australia in Sydney in October, Kohli and Rohit have made it clear they will leave no stone unturned to bag their spots on that World Cup flight to South Africa.
Both chief selector Ajit Agarkar and Gambhir have stayed non-committal about Rohit and Kohli’s World Cup participation, a stance that has fuelled the simmering tensions between the two camps.
However, India have a lot more to worry about despite the opening victory over South Africa.
