Who was the best player of Matchweek 13?

We asked you to help decide who will be crowned the official Premier League Player of the Matchweek

Matchweek 13 of the 2025/26 Premier League season featured some outstanding individual performances. We picked out eight of the best and invited you to vote for your Premier League Player of the Matchweek.

You had until 12:00 GMT on Tuesday 2 December to cast your vote. The result will be announced later today.

Bruno Fernandes (Crystal Palace 1-2 Man Utd)

The Manchester United captain delivered a masterclass in set-piece creativity, producing assists for both goals as his side came from behind to win at Selhurst Park.

Fernandes’ two decisive contributions sent him top of the Premier League assists chart with five, and moved him above legend Paul Scholes in Man Utd’s all-time rankings for Premier League assists with 56. Only Ryan Giggs (162), Wayne Rooney (93) and David Beckham (80) are ahead of Fernandes in that list.

His clever, disguised free-kick allowed Joshua Zirkzee to fire home the equaliser from a tight angle, before another rehearsed set-piece saw him roll the ball into the path of Mason Mount for the winner.

Phil Foden (Man City 3-2 Leeds Utd)

Foden came to Manchester City’s rescue at the Etihad Stadium, scoring twice in a dramatic win over Leeds United.

The England international opened the scoring after just 59 seconds, City’s earliest home goal in over six years, and then struck the winner in the 91st minute to secure all three points for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Reece James (Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal)

The Chelsea captain is often used in midfield for big matches and rose to the occasion once more with an impressive performance against leaders Arsenal.

James was at the heart of everything that Chelsea did well and only Declan Rice made more than his 52 touches.

Despite Chelsea being reduced to 10 men, James only got better as the match wore on and it was his corner that created the opening goal, scored by Trevoh Chalobah. That was his fourth assist in all competitions this season; no Chelsea player has provided more in 2025/26.

Enzo Le Fee (Sunderland 3-2 Bournemouth)

Le Fee was instrumental in Sunderland’s first-ever Premier League comeback win from two goals down, inspiring a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bournemouth.

The midfielder calmly dispatched a penalty to begin the comeback, before assisting Brian Brobbey’s winner from a well-delivered corner.

Le Fee created more chances than any other Sunderland player (three) and won possession in the final third more times than anyone on the pitch (four), capping a complete all-action display.

Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves)

Boubacar Kamara scored the decisive goal for Villa, but Unai Emery knows the result may very well have been different were it not for the performance of Martinez.

The goalkeeper produced a smart save to deny Jorgen Strand Larsen and then went one better when he somehow clawed Yerson Mosquera’s powerful header on to the underside of the crossbar.

Kenny Tete (Spurs 1-2 Fulham)

The 30-year-old right-back produced an outstanding display at both ends of the pitch, as Fulham recorded a third Premier League win in four against Tottenham Hotspur.

Tete fired Fulham into the lead after just three minutes, when he was given space and time to score, via a deflection off Destiny Udogie. He then showed his mettle with an authoritative defensive display to frustrate Spurs.

Igor Thiago (Brentford 3-1 Burnley)

Thiago continued his pursuit of Erling Haaland in the race for the Golden Boot by scoring a brace at the Gtech Community Stadium as Brentford secured a late win over Burnley.

The Brazil striker, who missed a stoppage-time penalty at Brighton & Hove Albion in the previous weekend, made no mistake with an 81st-minute spot-kick to open the scoring.

Although Zian Flemming levelled for the Clarets, Thiago volleyed home his 11th goal of the season to restore Brentford’s lead and put him only three goals behind Man City’s prolific Norwegian.

Malick Thiaw (Everton 1-4 Newcastle)

Thiaw produced a dominant performance at Hill Dickinson Stadium, scoring twice and leading Newcastle to a commanding away win.

The German defender netted the fastest Premier League goal of the season after just 52 seconds, before adding a second goal after the break to become only the fourth Newcastle defender to score a brace away from home in the competition.

He also won six of seven aerial duels, registered the joint-second most clearances (five) and completed 58 passes, the second most of any Newcastle player, to round off a superb display at both ends of the pitch.
